Rascal Outlaw (R.O.R.I.) Racing Canceled In 2009
Schedule Update

Rascal Outlaw Racing for the Benkert/Christophersen/Williford entry of 2009 has terminated operation. The decision was reached when parts were not made readily available in time to complete the project during the preseason. With a limited schedule remaining and the first missed race already in the books the team has shifted focus toward racing go-karts in the adult and junior enthusiast programs at Chicago Indoor Racing's Buffalo Grove and Addison facilities in Illinois.

The Dad's and Junior's will be divided into groups based on experience to ensure closely matched driver's for each race. Points will be earned based on their finishing position in each race and will be compiled from all four of their races and then Dad and Junior Driver's points will be combined to determine the team's total points. Go get-em' team B~BAD!!

The Spring "Monthly Run-Off" Series (MRO @ CIR - Addison, IL.)
Mondays: April 27, May 18 and June 15, 2009

Held on Track 8, the exciting combination of Track 6 and Track 7, the MRO is a unique and competitive format designed to pitch the closest matched drivers together based on experience and ability. Only drivers with a Pro Score under 250 are eligible to compete in the Monthly Run-Off's which gives everybody else a chance!

The Monthly Run Off combines different elements that test a driver's all around ability. Upon being placed into 2 weight classes, the Run-Off's start with two Timed Qualifying Sessions which determine the starting position for one 20 lap race. The finishing order in the 20 lap race then determines the starting position for a final 35 lap race. The two Qualifying Sessions run in opposite directions and the pole sitter gets to choose the direction of the 20 lap race. With the 35 lap feature running in the opposite direction, people have to think further than just the next race…

Event Date: Monday April 27th 2009

Iron Man Dwayne Survives Ultimate Test - 150 Lap Endurance Race (Go-Karts)
Sunday April 19th 2009 @ CIR - Buffalo Grove, IL.

The Iron Man 150 was truly the ultimate test for this teams driver. With a driver's skill, speed and consistency forever being challenged.

The 10 minute Timed Qualifying Session determined Dwayne's single fastest lap to merit his starting tenth on the grid, followed by a 146 lap non-stop, flat out racing effort. No pit stops, no re-fuelling, one penalty and one spin out capped the event. Truly no rest was had!!!

In the end, we set a personal best lap time of 28.62 seconds on lap 108; finished in eighth place (four laps down) with an average lap time of 29.37 seconds. Due to Dwayne being placed into the Heavyweight class prior to the race, the efforts resulted in a podium finish; third in class.

A special thank you to all who attended this event. The V.I.P. post race party was much appreciated.

Brandon Gets The Yellow
Date: Postponed - T.B.A.

The time has come to turn the next young gun loose. Brandon Williford gets the go-ahead from Dad to wheel his hands at racing. The dates were set for Brandon to enter the two-day junior novice racing school at CIR in Buffalo Grove, Illinois. Due to a caution flag the dates have been postponed. Best of luck Brandon when you return to green.

B~BAD AUTOSPORTS - BASED IN ILLINOIS, IS A FAMILY OWNED AN OPERATED SMALL CAR RACING TEAM COMPOSED OF A FATHER AND HIS CHILDREN COMPETING LOCALLY WITHIN THE MIDWEST REGION OF THE UNITED STATES. THIS SMALL TEAM IS BIG IN HEART AND FULL OF PASSION FOR THE SPORT THEY LOVE. FAMILY AND FRIENDS HAVE ALWAYS SUPPORTED THEIR EFFORTS. NOW IN THEIR NINETH YEAR OF OPERATION THE FAMILY FACES NEW CHALLENGES. AS ALWAYS, SPONSORSHIP IS LIMITED YET NEVER OVERLOOKED.

BRITTANY - HAS SHIFTED FOCUS TOWARD OTHER COMMUNITY EVENTS FOR MOST OF 2007 YET IS HOPEFULL IN RETURNING TO MORE TRACKSIDE ACTION AT CHICAGO INDOOR RACING IN 2008-09. SHE IS LOOKING FOR A FIRST TIME CHAMPIONSHIP (BEFORE DAD GETS ONE).

BRANDON - NOW OLD ENOUGH TO SIGN UP FOR JUNIOR LEAGUE RACING NEEDS TO BRING HOME BETTER RESULTS BEFORE DAD WILL ALLOW THIS YOUNG GUN TO TURN IT LOOSE IN THE CORNERS. HE TELLS US BOYS DRIVE BETTER THAN GIRLS. HE WILL HAVE HIS CHANCE.

ASHLEY - HAD BEEN THE BRAINS BEHIND THE TEAM NAME YET HAS NEVER EXPRESSED INTEREST IN STRAPPING ON A HELMET. SHE IS HOWEVER IN THE PROSESS OF GAINING AN ACTUAL DRIVER'S LICENCE. WE THINK THIS SCARES DAD MORE THAN ANY WRECK HE HAS EVER HAD.

DWAYNE - HAS JOINED FORCES WITH ANTIOCH'S OWN "KEITH CHRISTOPHERSEN RACING" TO DRIVE THE #23 RACSAL OUTLAW DURING A LIMITED 2009 CAMPAIGN. THIS IS AN OPPORTUNITY TO RACE A WINGED, OPEN WHEEL, ASPHALT OVAL CAR LOCALLY. TRACKS INCLUDE SLINGER SUPER SPEEDWAY, ROCKFORD SPEEDWAY, DELLS RACEWAY PARK (FORMALLY DELLS MOTOR SPEEDWAY) AND 151 SPEEDWAY TENTATIVELY. THE TEAM IS REASSEMBLING TO ASSIST IN THIS NEW VENTURE. WE LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING EVERYONE TRACKSIDE ONCE AGAIN THIS YEAR.

RACERS PRAYER...
Lord, I pray as I race today,
Keep me safe along the way.
Not only me, but others too,
As they perform the jobs they do.
I know, God, that in a race,
I, the driver, must set the pace.
But in this race of life I pray,
Help me Lord, along the way.
Although I know I am a sinner,
Help me to believe that with God,
You're always a winner.
