The 7TH season of KIRL is underway at full throttle!
Bernard "RUSTY" Snyder to Sponsor from beyond 2009-2010
Sponsorship has a unique way of making itself to the team's decision table. Due to the passing of our Great-Grandfather, Grandfather, Crew Member & Friend "Bernard "Rusty" Snyder," funds were made available to mount Dwayne's charge of a forth running in the PRO-KIRL off-seasons' traveling series monthly events. "Grandpa would have wanted us to run again. He always enjoyed (not to mention the popcorn and chili) the indoor series that we ran in. He will ALWAYS be remembered."
Everyone races 72-102 laps through a 13 turn 1/8 mile indoor road course in 3 qualifiers and 1 feature. Top finishers transfer to the SUPER FINAL. That's 40 minutes of full throttle racing!!

5TH Annual Father's Day Challenge 2009
June 21, 2009 @ CIR - Addison
On our third attempt at this year's Father's Day Competition, the Dad's racing was interwoven with the juniors on the same track. This allowed the families to watch Dad race without missing the opportunity to cheer on their young drivers as well. It was also a good opportunity for the Dad's to gain perspective on just how great their junior drivers are and allowed both to share tips on passing and the racing line. In addition, drivers were able to compare lap times! Dwayne and Brittany's efforts are posted on the schedule/results page. The end result was a weekend filled with great racing highlighted by the good natured spirit of the Dad's and the juniors on this Father's Day 2009.
The Spring "Monthly Run-Off" Series (MRO @ CIR - Addison, IL.)
April 27, May 18 and June 15, 2009
Held on Track 8, the MRO was a unique and competitive format designed to pitch the closest matched drivers together based on experience and ability. Combining different elements that tested a driver's all around ability. The Run-Off's started with two Timed Qualifying Sessions which determined the starting position for one 20 lap race. The finishing order in the 20 lap race then determined the starting position for a final 35 lap race. The two Qualifying Sessions ran in opposite directions and the pole sitter got to choose the direction of the 20 lap race with the 35 lap feature running in the opposite direction.
Dwayne posted two podium finishes and one fastest lap award in only three attempts in the ongoing series. A special thank you goes out to all those who made the drive out to show their support in Addison. Photo's to be posted soon. See the schedule/results page for more detail.
Iron Man Dwayne Survives Ultimate Test - 150 Lap Endurance Race (Go-Karts)
Sunday April 19th 2009 @ CIR - Buffalo Grove, IL.
The Iron Man 150 was truly the ultimate test for this teams driver. With a driver's skill, speed and consistency forever being challenged.
The 10 minute Timed Qualifying Session determined Dwayne's single fastest lap to merit his starting tenth on the grid, followed by a 146 lap non-stop, flat out racing effort. No pit stops, no re-fuelling, one penalty and one spin out capped the event. Truly no rest was had!!!
In the end, we set a personal best lap time of 28.62 seconds on lap 108; finished in eighth place (four laps down) with an average lap time of 29.37 seconds. Due to Dwayne being placed into the Heavyweight class prior to the race, the efforts resulted in a podium finish; third in class.
A special thank you to all who attended this event. The V.I.P. post race party was much appreciated.

RACERS PRAYER... Lord, I pray as I race today, Keep me safe along the way. Not only me, but others too, As they
perform the jobs they do. I know, God, that in a race, I, the driver, must set the pace. But in this race of
life I pray, Help me Lord, along the way. Although I know I am a sinner, Help me to believe that with God,
You're always a winner. ~unknown author~
